Government E-Marketplace i.e , GeM is an online website which provides goods and services to different government deparment.It is same as Amazon, Flipkart like other E-commerce portal. Gem launched in the year 2016 on 9th August. Now days it is mandatory to register under GeM to Supply goods and services to any Government department.
The purpose of GeM is to empower the small businesses, manufacturer, service provider to enter the wide and interactive online platform, where they can directly sell their products and services to different departments of Govt., organizations and PSUs. Different governments and PSUs( Central & State) can buy products locally or from private business operators, manufacturer & services.
Documents-required-for Gem Registration :
1. Pan card
2. Aadhaar Card
3. Contact Details (Ph. Number , Email Id)
4. Company Details
5. 2 Years ITR Details
6. Bank Account Details
7. Udyam Certificate (If any)
8. GST Certificate (If any)
If any business is producing their goods then they will be eligible for OEM registration i.c, the original Manufacturing
Secondly, If any one wants to sale other brand product then they are call reseller. Firstly the reseller has to take permission on authorization letter to sale their product. After that the OEM of that product will allow them to reseller the product.
